The experience that the retail space creates is a warm, rustic, and antique feel. This experience is linked to the retail concept because the main idea of the store is to bring Hespeler's past back into the present in a new and modern way. As you enter the space, the wood and the bricks that are used in the area contribute to the feeling of warmth and comfort.
The textured painted black metal contributes to the rustic and antique feel of the store. The area that is used for the classroom uses a darker wood than the rest of the store as well as frosted glass and white floors. This helps create a slightly more modern feel to represent putting old and new together to create something better and different.
